Moments of quiet joy
This photo was taken on our 25th wedding anniversary - a day our children turned into a memory we cherished. They surprised us with a limousine ride to a beautiful restaurant where our family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us. Afterwards, the celebration continued back at our home, surrounded by laughter, love and the people who meant so much to us. Looking back now, I realize they weren't just celebrating 25 years of marriage - they were celebrating the love that Ken and I built together. What a beautiful gift they gave us and what a treasured memory it remains.
Jasper's turn for some TLC
In this photo, we see Ken grooming Jasper. Ken wasn't only a great chef - he was also a great help in keeping Jasper beautifully groomed. We brushed him at least once a week and I was always grateful that Ken shared this little task with me. Just look at Jasper. He seems to be enjoying his dada's gentle brushing ... he is completely relaxed in Ken's care.
Maybe today, Jasper is missing his dada's soft brush just as much as I miss the man who held it.
Adventures and new horizons

This photo captures another happy moment iin our lives when we sold our house on Delia in Orleans. We were ready to downsize and move into a condo in Rockland, a home Ken really loved. We could simply lock the door and take off on our many road trips, which we enjoyed for the next 15 years.
Ken also enjoyed watching other people cut the grass, wash the windows and take care of the snow removal .... all things he no longer had to do himself. It was a new chapter in our lives, one that brought us many wonderful memories and the freedom to enjoy more adventures together.
A Father, A Daughter, A Forever Song
In 2005 Ken was playing his guitar and singing Goodnight Irene with Cathy. Sitting by the fireplace they were sharing one of the many special moments they held so close. Together, they wrote another verse to this song they both loved, their words weaving memories that would last far beyond that day. In that quiet meaningful moment, she promised her father she would always remember him and that one day, she would sit by her fireplace and sing this song, keeping his spirit alive in every note.
